This year’s Annual General Meeting was held on 6th April

Posted on April 9, 2022

24 hardy souls braved the extremely blustery winds on the evening of Wednesday 6th April to attend this year’s AGM – the first one that the Society has been held in normal conditions in three years. The meeting was held in Harwood Hall at Christ Church in Malvern Road.

Formal business included the re-election as Trustees of Andrew Booton as Chair, Peter Sayers as Vice Chair and Claire Attenborough as Treasurer for 3-year terms.

Thanks were recorded for Neela Mann, who has stepped down from the Blue Plaques role. We are therefore seeking a local historian who can step into that role.

Other formal business included the approval of the Society’s statement of accounts for 2020 and the Chair’s annual report on the Society’s activities.

The meeting concluded with a general discussion of a number of issues including the Society’s premises. The Trustees expect to give a full report on the latter during the next few weeks.
