Events, meetings and activities
The Civic Society endeavours to organise a variety of events for our members – including social events, meetings about current issues, and visits to sites and buildings of interest.
Once we finish the refurbishment of Parmoor – our town centre building in Cambray Place – we will be able to return to organising a full calendar of interesting events for our members. Our premises will provide the Society with meeting space capable of seating nearly 100 people – perfect for meetings, events and exhibitions.
Unfortunately the building work has been delayed for almost two years, firstly due to planning hold-ups and, secondly, to the structural issues of a neighbouring building. But we are persevering with the renovation and we will bring you further news of our progress over the coming months.
