Promenade tent village loses application to remain

Posted on November 2, 2022

Planning Committee turns down two of the town’s most prominent temporary structures

Cheltenham Borough Council’s Planning Committee has turned down two out of the three planning applications to retain the town’s most prominent temporary structures that were erected during the pandemic – including the long row of tents on the forecourts of 131 Promenade and adjacent buildings.

A full report of this is featured on the front page of the November edition of our news sheet, Making A Difference – which you can download by clicking on this link.

Also in the news sheet is a full update of progress in response to our Town Centre Manifesto, plus a report on our ongoing campaign to preserve the town’s industrial heritage on Lansdown Industrial Estate.
